I have been wanting to cut my hair for years now. But wanted to wait until I could donate my hair to locks of love — and that’s what I got today (as well as a free cut!). Ted Morgan salon in Dubai is amaaaaazing! Happy girls who do amazing hair cuts. 👌

And, I get to check it off the list. Which is always fun.

Master Gardener

❝God has a way of stripping everything that we think we need, and He leaves just Himself to us. It is never an easy thing to be in that situation; one day praising God for His goodness and the next crying out to Him to make Himself known in the storm.

When we have rooted ourselves to a safe place, God tends to rip us out of the ground and plant us somewhere new. We may hate it, revile Him for it, and even reject Him for a time. But when we look back, we will see that we needed to be uprooted, to be changed from that place that was slowly killing us.

God is the master gardener, He knows all His plants by name, He delicately removes the bad weeds and waters the good seeds. He does what needs to be done, so that one day we can look back and see the majesty that He was doing.

You are being made into a beautiful thing, something that God loves to watch grow. So the next time you are taken out of your comfort zone, know that Christ is slowly making you something great, because He is doing it; and He is the greatest thing.

My 2nd date with Zurich

It took me almost a year and a half to spend the day with Zurich again. And I seriously wonder why it took me so long. This city is amazing.

One hundred and eighty seven steps to the top! I’m so glad I had read a review about paying the four francs and seeing this view from Grossmünster. I never would have known about this amazing vantage point of seeing the city 👌

And now let’s talk about the “backyard” of my hotel. Out of this world views. I feel like because I live in Dubai and see only sand, whenever I go someplace that has trees and normal seasons, I freak out a little.

I just have to say, the Swiss drinking fountain is way cooler than the American way.

So when my brother told me there was a music video about all of the above, I flipped!

And it got better.

You could try to get in a fan version lip syncing that song.

I don’t know whether I should be embarrassed or burst out in giggles with the video I sent.

But I’m like what the what!? and I did it.

Disney Shenanigans

 What better way to spend a 50 hour layover in Los Angeles, then to spend it at Disneyland!

So the brother drove 6 hours south and we took advantage of our season passes.

Ricky! Look at me and laugh for the picture!

I can’t! My neck! It hurts!

And this was how our picture turned out.

And as if I needed a reason to come to Disneyland, I finally got to meet my BFFL’s daughter Rylie for the first time!
