❝ If you’re not sure how to make a certain decision, consider how you’ll look back on what you decided. Look back on it from your future self.
If you want to take that memory with you, then brave every risk and climb every cliff — do what it takes to get there. Give your future the best hope of nostalgia.
If you know your decision will be a burden of baggage, then hold on to what you must and let go of what controls you. You have just the one story to tell, but most importantly, it’s the only story you must one day tell yourself. Make it the one you want. ❞J.S. (VIA JSPARK3000)
It’s so weird that thanks to my job I was able to visit an American town for the first time!
Our hotel was in an amazing location, right in the heart of the city. We could walk everywhere! The next morning I definitely got my exercise as I definitely got lost. I was trying to find their famous bean and somehow managed to walk right by it. Before I knew it I was along the frozen beach-side.
After finding a Starbucks to warm up in (and to get their free wifi. I love America.) I was back on the right track and this time did not to miss it. Along with finding the bean, I met another crew member. He is hilarious and we really got along while working the flight over. Pretty much my new favorite person!
He managed to talk me into heading for the Willis Tower (previously the Sears tower), which stands at 103 floors and held the title for tallest building for many years. How could it not have good views?
And our party of two went up to three after seeing another crew member from our flight! It was a happy reunion 103 stories up 😏
It was a fun full layover.
It is so much easier to be attracted to someone than it is to be in love with someone.
Attraction comes and goes, it demands no obligation for you to stay loyal.
Love… Love requires two people to daily make the choice to be devoted to each other. To push one another to the cross because they know attraction will flee, they know that passion will be absent because that is what happens sometimes. Love, like joy, is not an emotion, it is endurance of future attraction, future passion. Love is the anchor that must keep us rooted in the storms, it is not the wind or the end goal, it is simply a tool that Christ gave to us the moment we were born.
Do not misuse love, do not mistake attraction for love. Because when it really matters and you are in desperate need of an anchor, using anything other than what is needed will end up with you sinking your ship.
Know love before you profess love.
To remember this:
❝ For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. ❞JEREMIAH 29:11
❝ I hope you have the courage to pursue someone who is worth pursuing, and not someone who is convenient. Convenience is impatience disguised as your desires, you are worth more than what time has told you, you are worthy of finding someone who will wait for you; don’t settle for what is easy, settle for what is good. ❞T.B.
