What Comes to Mind

Thanksgiving.

turkey. football. parade and all its cheesy glory. traffic. starbucks coffee in christmas cups. family. catching up. laughter. desserts. with whip cream. cold air. crunchy leaves. happiness.

Thats what comes to mind when I think of Thanksgiving.

I just can’t imagine not having this holiday tradition.

I am extremely lucky to have gotten this working DXB – SFO flight home over Thanksgiving!

(I will be the one skipping onto the plane and down the aisles teehee.)

Just one more day before I head home  ♥

I’m jealous of the rain
That falls upon your skin
It’s closer than my hands have been
I’m jealous of the rain
I’m jealous of the wind
That ripples through your clothes
It’s closer than your shadow
Oh, I’m jealous of the wind

‘Cause I wished you the best of
All this world could give
And I told you when you left me
There’s nothing to forgive
But I always thought you’d come back
Tell me all you found was
Heartbreak and misery
It’s hard for me to say
I’m jealous of the way
You’re happy without me

I’m jealous of the nights
That I don’t spend with you
I’m wondering who you lay next to
Oh, I’m jealous of the nights
I’m jealous of the love
Love that was in here
Gone for someone else to share
Oh, I’m jealous of the love

‘Cause I wished you the best of
All this world could give
And I told you when you left me
There’s nothing to forgive
But I always thought you’d come back
Tell me all you found was
Heartbreak and misery
It’s hard for me to say
I’m jealous of the way
You’re happy without me

As I sink in the sand
Watch you slip through my hands
Oh, as I die here another day
‘Cause all I do is cry behind this smile

I wished you the best of
All this world could give
And I told you when you left me
There’s nothing to forgive
But I always thought you’d come back
Tell me all you found was
Heartbreak and misery
It’s hard for me to say
I’m jealous of the way
You’re happy without me

It’s hard for me to say
I’m jealous of the way
You’re happy without me

Kawaii

Kawaii. It means cute in Japanese. And it’s my new favorite word!

In almost two years of flying, this was the first time I made it to Japan. And it did not disappoint. For all the reasons I dislike China, Japan is the complete opposite. Clean city. Respectful people. Yummy food. Facebook and Instagram (just kidding. A little.)

IMG_3946.JPG I need to come back when I have more than 24 hours to spend here. And not just for Tokyo Disneyland! (They have a cat cafe. How cool is that.)

Until we meet again, Japan. Arigato.
