I’ve been a bad blogger.

Time is going by too fast! Only 3 short weeks left until I leave for Dubai! Eek!

Last night my sisters and I carved some pumpkiiinnsss.

I carved “Dolphy” with a heart as an O. Now it matches my cars license plate teehee

my twin sister carving her masterpiece of three pumpkins stacked on top of each other.

Our trip to Ireland is over.

I am so sad.

But excited to see my baybay!!!

The sister with a bulmer. Our favorite drink.

We had one at the airport before our flight.

Bye ireland!

I’ll miss you.

Pubbin’ it

My sister and I had been in Ireland for two days. And we still hadn’t gone into a pub.
So on night #3, we went out.

The night could’ve turned out really disappointing if two things hadn’t happened.

1) if we hadn’t found a pub still offering food.

My sister and I had been out all day, and hadn’t eaten anything but a bag of chips crisps since breakfast.

We had made it downtown Galway just after 8pm. And after checking in with three different pubs, we found out most pubs stopped serving food at 8.

Luckily we found a hole in the wall, really tiny, three story wine bar. And the food was deliciousss! I ordered a Cajun chicken panini and the sis got a savory crepe.

We enjoyed people watching from the 2nd story window as we ate.

2) the 2nd thing that made our night awesome was a pub recommendation by our bed and breakfast host.

She had told us to go just down the road from where we were staying — instead of trying to brave the busy Galway pubs.

We didn’t realized just how right she was. After trying to get a drink at a couple different pubs, we and ended up paying for a taxi back to Salthill.

And we went to the bessstt spot!

So if your ever in Salthill- just outside of Galway, Ireland – go to O’Connors.

They start music at about 10.

We were so glad that was our 1st pub experience.

Irish love

I think I’m in love.
We have really connected.

And it’s not just the cute accent, pretty scenic drives, or the red hair.
It’s the little things.

Like how I always have my tea made perfectly. Breakfast black tea (the good stuff! Not that cheap lipton junk.)-with cream!

The charming way that “love” is my new nickname.

And how I always get to have my favorite weather.

I am smitten.

I am so glad I get 7 more days.

En route!

I have been a very bad blogger.

I am en route to Ireland!

Currently: sitting in Chicago, waiting for their famous thick crust pizza.

(My sister and I have a six hour layer over, so we are making the most of it!)

Next: a 7-hour flight straight to Dublin, where we will be landing at 8am to start our first official day in Ireland!

So excited.

I doubt I’ll sleep on the plane.

I hope I’m not too crabby once we land. 😉

Garret’s popcorn. A Chicago favorite.
