Kawaii

Kawaii. It means cute in Japanese. And it’s my new favorite word!

In almost two years of flying, this was the first time I made it to Japan. And it did not disappoint. For all the reasons I dislike China, Japan is the complete opposite. Clean city. Respectful people. Yummy food. Facebook and Instagram (just kidding. A little.)

I need to come back when I have more than 24 hours to spend here. And not just for Tokyo Disneyland! (They have a cat cafe. How cool is that.)

Until we meet again, Japan. Arigato.

Uncomfortable

Sometimes things are uncomfortable.

Like watching something horribly sad.

But just because something makes me uncomfortable, doesn’t mean I should ignore it.

Ignorance is bliss, sometimes.

But other times, awareness is better.
